I’m Tro, a Spokane-based portrait photographer, and my sessions are built around direction, comfort, and real expression. Whether you’re camera-shy or you’ve done this a hundred times, I’ll guide you through the whole thing: where to stand, what to do with your hands, how to shift your weight, and how to get variety without forcing “poses.”


A lot of people come in saying, “I’m not photogenic.” Most of the time, that’s not a you problem, it’s a direction problem. My job is to create an easy pace, give clear prompts, and help you look relaxed while still looking intentional. We’ll build a set of images that feels like your best day, not like you’re performing for the camera.


My portrait work leans clean and a little editorial. That can mean soft window light in the studio, bold contrast lighting that feels cinematic, or simple outdoor portraits around Spokane that don’t look overly staged. We can keep it minimal and classic, or build a concept with wardrobe, mood, and location that fits your style. I photograph individuals, couples, seniors, creatives, and professionals who need updated headshots or personal branding photos. We can shoot in my downtown Spokane studio for a controlled, polished look, or take it outside for something more open and lifestyle-driven.
